  As you know, we here at DHS have been making some changes in the way we do things. It is our prayer that all of it blesses you in some way. I wanted to stop for a minute and recognize our friends Cher and David Guy of the Messianic Community. They have helped us in so many ways that it is difficult to take measure of it. Recently, they both have had health battles but continue to help us and (I feel sure), many others. I ask that you keep them in your prayers as most of us who know and love them have the comfort in knowing that we are always in their prayers. As the ministry of Down Home Shalom continues to adjust and grow according to the needs of you our listeners with the help and friendship of wonderful mishpocha like Cher and David, it will be our continued prayer that you will always be blessed by what you hear.

  We here at DHS are so happy and thankful for your continued listenership. We hope that our efforts here will continue to be a blessing to you and your family. The L-RD has blessed us to be on WLFJ and we are so excited! The L-RD has promised in Isaiah 41:18 “I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water”. We at DHS cling to HIS words not just for us, but for you also.

Let me share with you a special prayer on Father’s Day. This is part of the Amidah, or standing prayer. I would like to share with you the Ahvot portion (which means “Fathers”), of the Amidah prayer.

Blessed are You, L-RD, our G-d and G-d of our fathers, G-d of Abraham, G-d of Isaac, and G-d of Jacob; the great, mighty, and awesome G-d, the most high G-d, Who bestows grace and creates all, and remembers the righteousness of the fathers, and brings a Redeemer to their children’s children, for His name’s sake, with love.

O King, Helper, Savior, and Shield. Blessed are You, O L-RD, shield of Abraham.

We at Down Home Shalom are very excited to announce that we will be on WLFJ radio starting  in August! We are so thankful to G-D for His love, guidance and protection. It is so exciting knowing that we will now be able to reach so many more unsaved Jewish and non-Jewish people with the plan of salvation through Yeshua (Jesus) as written in the book of Romans chap 1: v16. We are also so thankful for your support and listenership! Sadly, we are losing our brother Ira who is moving on to other things and we are grateful for the time he spent with us at Down Home Shalom. However, we are adding some wonderful new people who will be a blessing to you as they already are to us! We pray that we will continue to be a blessing to our Heavenly Father and to you, our wonderful radio mishpacha (family).

Shela and I are so happy and grateful to G-D to be able to announce that we are to be grandparents! What a blessing to our family! Our daughter Rivka and our son-in-law Daniel told us the wonderful news and we are now sharing it with you!  HALLELUYAH!!!
